The Howlin’ Hive dog boarding facility was founded in May 2022 by co-owners Damian and Charlotte in the picturesque Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. The dynamic duo spent several years operating a small-scale dog boarding business out of their home, honing their skills and nurturing their passion for canine care. Through hard work, dedication, and a love for dogs, they realized their dream of creating a premier dog boarding facility in a serene and spacious location.
Their vision came to life as they set their sights on a 7000 sqft barn, previously used for livestock. They channeled their creativity and diligence, transforming the barn into a fully renovated and modern dog boarding facility. Today, The Howlin’ Hive is situated in this beautifully restored space, surrounded by nature and providing a peaceful environment for dogs and employees alike.

Damian and Charlotte have always been staunch advocates for prioritizing loving care and a nurturing environment for dogs. Their caring nature and genuine passion for helping animals have been the driving force behind their successful venture. Throughout their journey, they have remained steadfast in their commitment to offering top-notch dog care services at affordable prices for all dog owners.
Charlotte a lifelong dog lover and advocate, brings to the table extensive experience in animal care, management, and training. She has dedicated numerous hours to volunteering at animal shelters and gained a strong reputation in the community for her caring and knowledgeable approach to dog care.
Damian, an accomplished tradesman, and avid animal lover, combines passion for dogs with his sharp construction skills to keep The Howlin’ Hive running smoothly. With a background in maintenance and service, and a keen eye for detail, he ensures that The Howlin’ Hive is maintained perfectly and that every dog owner and their beloved furry companion feel at home at The Howlin’ Hive.
Together, Damian and Charlotte lead The Howlin’ Hive with the philosophy of providing “excellent and unrivalled care for dogs at an affordable price.” This commitment and dedication to superior canine care have distinguished The Howlin’ Hive as a trusted and reputable dog boarding facility in Pitt Meadows, BC.

We aim to cultivate a strong reputation as the preferred destination for pet owners through exceptional customer service and a dedicated team of professionals. Damian Hopley and Charlotte McNair have themselves experienced the current market of dog daycare and boarding facilities with their dogs, Peppa & Pearl & Sydney. After their dogs began coming home from daycare overly exhausted and showing a decline in behaviour, they went looking for something more personal and more in tune with the needs and nature of their individual dog. When they discovered there was nothing suitable to be found, they decided to take matters into their own hands and created Howlin’ Hive, a place where they would feel good sending their own dog. Howlin’ Hive is more than just a business to us. It is a place that builds comfort, trust and real connections. It is a business built out of a love for dogs and peace of mind for their human companions.
